Why Fit Matters

The Foundation of Your Wardrobe

Fit is the single most important factor in how your clothes look and feel. A well-fitted garment can make a simple outfit look intentional, while poor fit can undermine even the best fabrics. Our collection is designed with real bodies in mind, not runway models.

Fit affects comfort, movement, and confidence. Our garments are cut for everyday wear, and natural fabrics drape differently than synthetics. Once you understand your measurements, you can choose pieces that work with your body rather than against it.

Our Approach to Sizing

Consistent, Relaxed, and Ready for Layering

We design our garments with a modern, relaxed silhouette that allows for movement without looking baggy. Our sizing is consistent across the collection, so once you know your size in one piece, you can shop with confidence across the range. The result is clothing that feels natural from the first wear and works as part of a layered, everyday wardrobe.

How to Measure Yourself

Three Measurements for a Better Fit

Use a flexible tape measure and follow these steps. Take each measurement twice to be sure, and write down the numbers before checking the size charts below.

Measurement 01

Chest

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape measure horizontal and snug but not tight. Breathe normally and take the measurement on the exhale.

  • Use a flexible tape measure
  • Keep tape parallel to the floor
  • Measure over a thin t-shirt

Measurement 02

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically just above your belly button. Keep the tape snug but comfortable, and don't suck in your stomach.

  • Find your natural waist by bending sideways
  • Measure over bare skin or thin layer
  • Keep tape level

Measurement 03

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually about 20cm below your waist. This is important for trousers and shorts.

  • Stand with feet together
  • Measure over underwear or thin layer
  • Keep tape horizontal

Size Charts

Find Your Size

Compare your measurements with the charts below. All measurements are in centimetres. If you are between sizes, see the advice under each chart.

Tops (T-shirts, Shirts, Knitwear)

Use your chest measurement to find your size. Our tops are designed with a relaxed fit, so if you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more casual look or down for a closer fit.

Bottoms (Trousers, Shorts)

Use your waist measurement to find your size. Our trousers have a mid-rise and straight leg, so they sit comfortably at the natural waist.

Outerwear (Jackets, Coats)

Outerwear is designed to be layered over other garments, so we recommend choosing your usual size for a comfortable fit, or sizing up if you plan to wear thick layers underneath.

Fit Profiles

Three Ways to Wear It

Every garment in our collection is cut in one of three profiles. Understanding the difference helps you choose the feel you want.

Fit Profile

Regular Fit

Our Regular fit is the most versatile. It skims the body without being tight, providing a clean silhouette that works for most body types. It's the default fit for our shirts and knitwear.

  • Slightly tapered at the waist
  • Comfortable through the chest and shoulders
  • Ideal for everyday wear

Fit Profile

Relaxed Fit

Our Relaxed fit offers more room through the chest, waist, and hips. It's designed for comfort and layering, with a slightly dropped shoulder and a boxier silhouette. Perfect for casual weekends.

  • Extra room without looking oversized
  • Dropped shoulder seam
  • Great for layering over t-shirts

Fit Profile

Slim Fit

Our Slim fit is closer to the body, with a narrower waist and higher armhole. It's not skin-tight but offers a more tailored appearance. Best for those who prefer a sharper look.

  • Tapered through the waist
  • Higher armhole for mobility
  • Slightly shorter length

Body Type Considerations

Fit for Your Shape

These suggestions are a starting point. Your preferred fit also depends on how you like your clothes to feel.

Body Type

Tall and Lean

If you're tall and lean, Regular fit will give you a clean line without excess fabric. Avoid Slim fit if you have long arms, as sleeves may be too short. Consider Relaxed fit for layering.

  • Regular fit is most versatile
  • Check sleeve length before choosing Slim
  • Relaxed fit adds visual weight

Body Type

Athletic Build

For broader shoulders and a narrower waist, Regular fit often works well. If you find shirts tight across the chest, consider sizing up or opting for Relaxed fit. Slim fit may be too restrictive.

  • Regular fit accommodates shoulders
  • Relaxed fit for more chest room
  • Avoid Slim fit if chest is tight

Body Type

Broader Midsection

Relaxed fit is your friend. It provides room through the waist without looking sloppy. Avoid Slim fit, which will be too tight. Regular fit can work if you size up, but check the waist measurement.

  • Relaxed fit offers comfort
  • Size up in Regular if needed
  • Avoid Slim fit

Fabric and Fit

How Fabric Changes the Fit

Different fibres behave differently. Here is what to expect from the fabrics we use most.

Fabric

Merino Wool Blends

Merino wool blends offer natural stretch and recovery, so garments maintain their shape well. They drape smoothly and resist wrinkles. Expect minimal shrinkage if washed according to care instructions.

  • Natural stretch and recovery
  • Smooth drape
  • Minimal shrinkage with proper care

Fabric

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is breathable and comfortable, but it may shrink slightly after the first wash. We recommend sizing up if you're between sizes. It softens with wear and becomes more comfortable over time.

  • May shrink up to 3% after first wash
  • Softens with wear
  • Size up if between sizes

Fabric

Linen

Linen has a relaxed, breathable drape and naturally wrinkles. It doesn't stretch much, so choose your usual size for a comfortable fit. Linen garments are designed to be worn slightly loose.

  • Relaxed drape
  • Minimal stretch
  • Designed for a loose fit
